Question: Engine stalls when exiting the highway
This problem started about 15 months after we bought the van. At first we thought it was a fluke, but 6 months later took it to the dealer. They couldn't figure anything out. Now that my warranty has just run out, we took it to our regular mechanic. He diagnosed it to be the torque converter not disengaging when slowing down from highway speeds. It has also happened when we've been on the highway for a while, then traffic slows us to stop and go traffic. We can hear the engine running really high, then the engine stalls. After 3 days, the dealer still says that they cannot reproduce the problem and have no idea what I'm talking about. Frustrated!!!
