Question: engine won't start

I have a 2004 Cavalier. When I parked it for the night it was running good. The next morning it won't start. I hear the fuel pump running. The motor sounds like it's got little or no compression. Any ideas?

Hard to say for sure. Start by checking the engine computer for relevant fault codes. If that doesn't help, check mechanical timing components etc
