Question: Exhast Vibrate

I just purchased this car 3 weeks ago for my daughter. It vibrates constantly when driving and smells of burnt oil after a while. I took it back to the dealer to get it checked out and they say it's normal for a Ford Focus. I took a friend who's a mechanic for a drive in it & thinks it's the exhaust valves rattling. It's my daughters first car and I'm not confortable with my daughter driving it.

There are two thing that go on with your car. One is the lower torque mount or motor mount goes out. When that happens the other two motor mounts go out. It gives the car a shaking feeling while in gear. You have to replace the motor mounts and the torque mount to fixs. Also you can have a tapping type noise under the hood. Most of the time it's the injectors. Sounds like a lifter or exhaust noise. But I have found it's the injectors. Nothing you can duo about that noise. I would have a shop listen to the injector to make sure thats your noise. Also have the motor mounts and torgue mount checked.
