Question: Feels like my vehicle is missing

At highway speeds, mainly with the a/c running, it feels like my the vehicle is missing. I discussed this with a mechanic at the shop who services the vehicle and he said if there was something wrong with the ignition, the "service engine" light would illuminate. Also, when I'm sitting at a stop light it appears that the a/c is constantly turning on/off. But this has been occurring since the vehicle was new.

He is right the check engine light would come on if there was a miss. I would have the A/C system look at. It should not cycle that much. The miss could be that the A/C coming on and off is causing that feeling. The compressor could be going out. Causing to much drag or locking up.

It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
