Question: fuel injector cleaning

check engine lite has come on twice each time the codes indicated vacuum leak with the EGR valve code first,a smoke test was done but shop said nothing turned up. but said the car could use injector cleaning.my ford factory manuel says do not clean that they either work or not and testing them is the way.the gas mileage is always20mpg or better so i don't know how this and codes showing a vacuum are related. what is my next move, wait and see what codes come up again or do the cleaning.

I would not do the cleaning. If you want to clean the injectors go get some injector cleaner. On the egr code. The egr valve could be leaking or the pintal is not seating. The egr postion sensor could be the problem. A good shop should be able to fix your egr.
