Question: Fuel Pump not working

Is the fuel pump powered? I recently went off roading and got mud around the fuel pump. When I cleared the mud out, it won't start. It is not getting gas when trying to start. How can I check to see if the pump is working?

Put a fuel gauge on it to see the pressure. But they are not cheep. You could try and bang on the tank lighty while cranking the engine to see if it will start. If it does not. You will need the fuel pressure gauge to find out what is going on.
