Question: Fuel tank air filter
Hi. Where is the fuel tank air filter? Some websites suggest it is behind the wheel splash cover but a saw a kia spectra dealership youtube video and the guy was saying that on older spectras it's above the gas tank (sigh).
My gas tank is making weird popping noises (as though pressure is uneven with outside and then it equalizes all of a sudden) plus filling up at the pump is a pain (shuts off prematurely and gas sprays back at me). Also check engine light is on and it's code 1401 I believe (fuel cap, or pressure problem or something, we replaced the fuel cap already).
All this leads me to believe that there is an air pressure problem in the gas tank and probably I need to change the fuel tank air filter. But don't know where it is!!!
