Question: Gear leveler in park, front panel say it in N. will not move or rel

I push the brake down, turn the starter key to run position, But it would let me push the "gear push buttom" in so I can change position on the gear level to any position. P,R.N,D position. Having problem with my 2002 Envoy. MY GEAR LEVEL IS IN PPARK POSITION BUT THE dash is displaying it in neutrol position. It will crackup but will not let take it out of park.

Your description sounds like a mechanical failure of the shifting components. You'll need a shop to look at it see what's going on.
