Question: Good idea to replace original steering gear with rack and pinion?

Have '72 Olds Cutlass 4-4-2 with original steering components; I can replace orig. steering with a Delphi power steering gearbox with a rack and pinion servo. It is a direct bolt-on replacement part from the 2010 Restoration Parts Catalog (pg. 137). Although I don't need "how to" info, does anyone have experience with this swap?---- Is it a good fit with true rack and pinion feel?. Are Delphi parts ok?.

Sorry, no idea on any of your questions. I mostly don't get into restoration or modifications of older cars.
