Question: Heat was not working while car idleing or when stopped, why?

Had radiator charged and coolant system flushed, had heater core flushed. Still did not fix. Had the heater core replaced, still not working. Could it be some sort of sensor???

Sounds like a coolant flow issue across the heater core. Possibly trapped air bubble in the cooling system. At higher speeds you have more flow, so it may have enough coolant flowing to warm the passenger compartment, but at lower speeds there isn't enough for the heater to work well.

You should have the cooling system bled.

BE careful! As hot coolant can cause severe burns. If you're not sure how to do this procedure, please have a qualified mechanic perform it for you.
