Question: heating sistem

Dear specialists

My car is Toyota Corolla 2009 LE 1.8

I am anxious that my heater core doesn’t work normally, it doesn’t blow enough warm in the cabin.

Maybe the corolla’s heater blows warm after enough working engine? But after driving 15 minutes, as I look at the water temperature dart, it keeps as normal level it must be.
One more question, there is a button A/C and I was using it when I put on cold regime ( in summer ) maybe for this heating regime I should push it too?

On the heater core. You have a heater control valve under the hood. It could not be opening all the way. To check this I would get the car to warm. Once it is warm there are two hoses going into the fire wall. thay are your heater hoses that go to the heater core. Touch the hoses. Make sure both hoses are hot. If they are not. Go to the heater control valve and touch the hose before and after. If that is the same temp it's your heater core. If they are not then it's your heater control vale. If both hoses are hot you have a problem with the blend door inside the heater box. That will need a shop to take that a part. On the A/C switch that will not help the heater. It will make it worse.

Thank you very much for helping me. I opened the hood, then I tried to find your mentioned “heater control valve” I couldn’t find it, where is it located under hood?

You mite not have one. Most of the time you will hae one. If you do have one it will be in the heater hoses. Look at the fire wall passenger side. There is two hose that are about 1" round. That is the heater hases. If there is a heater control valve it will be inline with one of them. Still make sure both are getting hot.
