hello , i have a 97 pontiac sunfire. i just replaced the headgasket an now it barely starts or runs, it smells like it is dumping in way to mch fuel. i cant press the gas pedal or it dies. i need help

Sounds like the mechanical timing might be off? Or maybe the ignition timing?
