Question: Hi, bank 1 is too lean & bank 2 is too rich is it time for junk yard retirement?

Don't want to be nickel and dimed. I've changed wires, plugs, distributor caps, rotors all twice and now coil pack but check engine light has been on more often than off over past 12 months. Note, I get better gas mileage with it on.

Any suggestions would be helpful!

If the check engine light is on, you need to have it scanned for codes. If you've already had it scanned, please post the codes. The parts you have replaced do not relate to the problem you're describing, so it's not surprising that you're not making progress. You can also take the code, and do an internet search for info on it, such as: "97 cr-v p0171" or just "p0171 troubleshooting" to get some background info.

Most of the parts you replaced (the first time through) were probably worn out anyway, so not too much money lost. But you need to understand the system you're working on, or you're going to end up broke.
