Question: High speed drift after tiny bumps

When I'm driving on the highway (between 56 and 80 mph), and I go over a really tiny bump (e.g. the joints between each piece on a bridge), my car seems to drift to one side for a fraction of a second before catching and resumeing normal handling.

The back of the car seems to experience the drifting as opposed to the front.

I doubt that this is what is happening, but it feels as if the back of the car starts to slide to one side and then the wheels catch again and the sliding stops.

Additionally, it feels like my shocks might need some work. On regular bumps the car bounces a lot (like the shocks are working), but on larger bumps the car hits pretty hard.

I don't have much money, but I think I need to get this looked at? Any suggestions? THANKS!!!

If the shocks are weak, you can get this type of issue. Have a shop inspect the suspension for wear.
