Question: how do i change the sheft sensor on my BMW

i get a intermint light on my dash and my trans wont shift. I will stop the car put on the ebreak and turn off the car. ill turn it back on relese the ebreak and it will run great. Not sure what the issues my be

Lots of things can cause abnormal shifting or turn on the light. You'll have to have a transmission shop diagnose whether it's in the transmission itself, or if the transmission is reacting to a sensor giving it poor data.

Make sure you check your transmission fluid level, as low level can cause this type of problem.
