Question: How do I remove and clean the ignition switch?

The ignition switch doesn't pop up when key removed, so car behaves like key is still in - radio stays on, key remote doesn't work, door chimes when open. I want to remove and clean it, but can't see how. Have already tried tephlon lubricant and silicone spay into the cylinder, but it still won't pop up.
