Question: How do I repair the "start assist" on my 2009 Suabru Forester?

The light for my start assist feature on my manual transmission 09 Forester is on and the manual says to take the care to a dealer, but I feel this should be an easy fix. Is it?

It's hard to say what it needs without the scan tool the dealer will use. You need to connect to the control module to see what the light is on for.
