Question: How do I replace the passenger side turn indicator on the side mirror?

Something or someone smashed the plastic covering on the turn indicator on my jetta. I have the replacement part but am looking for the instructions on how to take out the old one and replace it. Any/all help/advise is appreciated. Thanks!
