Question: how do i reset the timing on my car without a mechanic

my husband and his friend had to replace the fly wheel on my car and did not mark the timing on it when they took the belt off is there anyway to fix this without having to pay a mechanic this close to christmas?

Make sure not to crank over the engine. If you do with the belt off or in the wrong stop it will bend the valves and could crack a piston. Auto Zone has a free on line manule that will show you how to set the timing.
