Question: How much does it cost to repair ABS?

I recently got word that my ABS system does not work? There is no warning light or anything that states this, but the previous owner just told me about it when I asked. I was driving in a snow storm and I slid right through the stop sign, even though I gave myself enough room to stop. I thought I had ABS so I just kept my foot on the brake. It made the noise ABS does yet i just continued to skid. Later thinking my ABS did not work I tried pumping the brakes but then it locked up on me.

You need to have it looked at. It could be the motor pack in the ABS system isn't working correctly. Price is difficult to estimate until it is diagnosed so you really need a shop to check it for you to see what is going on.

It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
