Question: how much should labor charge be to replace rear diff. bushing and how long should it take?

I just had dealership replace - part was $29.99 AND LABOR WAS $645 -- was charged 4 hours labor

You can look up the labor time for the job using the 'repair cost calculator'. If that is not working, you can call any shop to get an estimate for you.

Most dealerships charge over $120/hr for repairs, and they should post their rates. Also, in many states you have to sign a written estimate for the repair before the work is done.

Independent repair shops charge lower rates and often have more expertise with repairs in vehicles a few years old or older.
