Question: How much to repair transmission seal leak?

I jus discovered my transmission was leaking and I had some one look at it and they said the seal was cracked or something along that nature. What can be done in this matter?? Is it expensive?

There are a lot of seals in the transmission. You'll have to find out which one is leaking for an estimate. If it is a crack in the case, the entire transmission may need to be replaced or rebuilt. You can check our Repair Cost Calculator once you know what the issue is, but transmission work is specialized so the estimate may not be that accurate.

In any case, you should have a transmission shop look at it. They can give you a real estimate of what is involved to repair it and how much it will cost.
