Question: How much to replace a CV Boot or the entire Shaft?

2002 Ford Focus SE, CV boot is ripped. Should I just replace the boot or the entire shaft or half shaft and how much should I expect to pay?

It's more cost effective to replace the entire shaft. It's usually about an hour of labor for the job, and you can look up the part price on any online auto parts site.
