Question: how much will it cost to have the side view mirror on the driver's side fixed?

It's currently hanging by a cord from my car. Everything's still attached.

Depends on where you have the work done and where you get the part. A junkyard part that's color matched only needs to be installed. The installation is so easy most shops will just charge the minimum amount. About 15 min labor usually. If the door panel needs to be removed expect about an hour labor.

If you can't find any color matched parts you'll probably want to have it painted. Expect an additional cost for this, about $100-$200.

If you need to buy a new part the cost will also go up a bit.

Try to find a used, color matched component.

It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
