Question: How often do I need to chg trans.fluid and power steering fluid

Had the oil changed yesterday and they recommended replacing transmission and power steering fluids. How often is this necessary?

The transmission fluid needs to be changed every 50,000 miles. The power steering should be changed at 100,000 miles.
