For cars more than 10 years old, I still stand by the 3000 to 5000 mile interval depending on how you drive. If you only drive in town, lean more toward the 3000 mile mark.

You can also check our Servicing Your Car section for service recommendations. It does a pretty good job at showing what you need at different mileage intervals..

And your owner's manual should list factory service interval recommendations.
