Question: How the torque is distributed on Toyota Highlander AWD 3,5L

between front and rear wheels when the car is riding on a dry asphalt (i.e. 100/0; 50/ 50, etc) ? Thanks!

You'll have to check with the dealer. I have no information on 2013 vehicles.

What I can tell you is "all-wheel drive" refers to vehicles that have permanently engaged or automatically engaging four-wheel-drive capability. That means the computer makes the decision on what the vehicle needs based on wheel slippage and road surface.

On dry pavement, the front and rear axles can't be locked together because every time you make a turn the front wheels are rotating at different speeds that the rear wheels. If they were locked, the car would buck and the the wheels would skid a bit.

So even though AWD vehicles have four-wheel-drive capability all the time, usually on dry pavement they are in a 2WD configuration most of the time.

If it's not a joke, I could answer such the answer myself :)

Now, it says there on your website that you pay to mechanics for their responses. I know quite a lot about cars. Do you want to try me to write couple of car reviews for you? My reviews would not be about "counting cup holders" in the car. I would not also compare i.e. 2013 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T 278 hp engine with 2013 Honda Accord 2.4 185 hp engine like one guy recently did in The Washington Post only because their prices were close. My reviews would be about torque, handling, after-market costs, costs of ownership, etc.
