Question: how to check automatic transmission oil

After I reverse and shift to drive quick it hesitate to go in gear for couple of seconds but other than that it shift with no problem when shifting from reverse to neutral then drive.even shifts smoothly changing gears.how to tell if short of oil. \\\\\there is no transmission dipstick. Thanks so much for your help

Check your owner's manual. It may have lifetime fluid that can't be checked.
