Question: how to find out wats wrong with the system

acts like its dying for gas when there is a half or more tank of gas

May 26, 2011, 6:07 pm

Elizabeth K

Do you have this problem ONLY when you have more than a half full gas tank? Do you have a check engine light on? If so, have it scanned for codes and reply back to this post with them.

Is it surging or hesitating? Do you have the problem under load, at idle or when cruising? Does it happen when you first start it up, in the first 5 minutes of driving, or when you've been driving a while?

Does the tach falter when the engine is dying out?
