Question: how to fix intake manifold runner control valve stuck open

what will happen if i leave this problem unattended, mostly because of cost. what causes this and what to do to fix. can anthing else affect this like bad egr. engine has a somewhat rough idle with like a high power sound when i press the accelerator, hard to explain the sound but i tried. thanks in advance.

The noise is from the runner valve stuck open. Gives a more throaty sound. You can drive it for a while. But that is also causing your bad idle.
