Question: I am having a Starting Problem with a 2008 Aura.

I have 2008 Aura and recently noticed my car starting strange. I get in the car and turn the key and nothing happens. The check engine light comes. I recommend inspecting the PRNDL switch as it may be out of adjustment. When it is out of adjustment or loose the car wont start. In your case moving the gear from Park to Reverse may cause the switch to move back into place to allow the car to start. Inspect the switch and make sure it is tighten down and properly adjusted.
