Question: I cannot get any fire to the plugs or from the coil..

I have put a new coil on and can't get fire from it either. I checked the distributor and it is spinning. I can't find any wires cut or chewed on. The truck was driven to my driveway and parked almost 2 years ago, but ran fine.

Check the rest of the ignition system.... ignitor, fuses, relays, wiring etc.

If the compression and mechanical timing are correct you're missing one or both of the following:

Fuel - Check that the pump is running, and injectors are firing. Make sure you have enough in the tank

Spark - Check for strong spark at the plugs. Make sure the spark timing and firing order is correct.


Once you figure out what's missing you can continue the diagnoses as to why it's missing.
