Question: I do not know exactly what happened to my tranny,what is the part I need,and what happened?

There is a piece of metal that looks as if something exploded from the inside and blew out the metal on the front passenger side of my tranny,right below where the tranny is bolted to the motor.The metal is peeled back and all of my hydraulic fluid is everywhere.My clutch is to the floor.I do not know if this can be fixed,or what the piece is called.Also do I need something inside the tranny?Please help.My truck is my money maker.Thanks

The transmission's case sounds like it is damaged. If that is true, the whole transmission will probably have to be replaced.
