Question: I have a chrysler transmission question

I have an 01 wj, 4.7l. It had cel come on, tested, it was the input output sensors, replaced both of them, and it was good for 8months or so. 6weeks ago, cel came back on, and could only drive with od off. Checked code myself with the key, and it threw a generic p0700, took it and had the detailed codes pulled. Referred shift 4/od failure. Talked with Chrysler, solenoid pack is bad. Took it down, and replaced with new oem Chrysler solenoid pack, now, it is slipping through the gears, in od and with it off. I've put a good $1000 into this in the last 3 weeks, and am financially and mentally exhausted. What do I look into next? Speed sensors were not factory oem, they were autozone parts.

Slipping is a sign of mechanical wear, not an electrical problem. You can check the fluid and try replacing the filter, but if you see signs of metal at the bottom of the pan, your tranny may just be worn out. At this point it may be worth having a tech inspect it before you decide it needs a rebuild, but slipping plus high miles usually means it's ready.

New fluid, and filter, very small amount of anything on the plug, normal for the time between service. Just maybe an eraser head worth of metal if that. Stupid code pulled stated it was shift solenoid, but now I am just replacing Tranny, all this $ and I'm just turning around and selling it. Thank you for the assistance.
