Question: I have a transmission problem

Every once in a while my montana says in low gear causing the motor to rev up, I took it to a garage and they said that it needed a rebuild, another garage said it needed to be reprogrammed. The fluid seems good and there is no smell from it could you give me some advise on this

Well the "reprogram" certainly sounds a lot cheaper.

There might be some codes stored in the transmission control module. I'd check that first and then maybe talk more the the shop that wants to reprogram it.
