Question: I have an 02 mazda 626 that sputters under light throttle only

My 02 mazda 626 2.5l manual transmission sputters under light throttle only , if I'm at a red light and try to accelerate slowly it sputters and tries to die, but if I drive with a lead foot and rev it up a lot it runs fine, It only happens under light throttle thanks for your help

Try scanning for codes first. That problem is most likely caused by the MAF (mass air flow) sensor or the TPS (throttle position sensor), but any codes set will point you in the right direction. Otherwise, you'll have to test the components individually.
