Question: I just purchased a 1974 BMW 3.0 CSL Coupe. but the brakes

I just purchased a 1974 BMW 3.0 CSL Coupe. but the brakes are not in working order . They just put in a cailper and master cylinder. but they could not get them to bleed . they said that they need to be power bleed. now i have gone too tech school, quite a few years ago and as I remember you don't need too power bleed any system. you should be able to manually bleed any system as long as your careful right? Thank You Jerry T

It's possible there is a clog in the system somewhere that's making it hard to bleed the brakes. In this case the proper procedure would be to clear the problem. Did you replace the brake lines as well?

It shouldn't need a power bleed. That's really just used to get a normal brake bleed done faster.
