Question: I own a 2007 Chevy Colorado, whenever I come to a stop while driving the truck shuts off.

It's the 5.3 4X4 with about 140,000 miles and regular oil changes.

For all hard starting or engine performance issues, you should always start with the basics. Make sure the tune up items are done and check the charging and starting systems. The engine must have the basics done in order for it to be able to run correctly. Many things can cause this type of problem, and the simplest sometimes get overlooked.

If it is the 5 cylinder engine, they had had a lot of issues with cylinder heads so you might want to have the dealer check it.
