Question: Idle noisy and burns more gas

My Trailblazer runs loud when I start it up and it burns more gas. I think it maybe the fan clutch because it is suppose to run quiet until the clutch kicks in. What do you think? Where are thr spark plugs?

What is the source of the noise? The diagnosis will be different if the noise is coming from the exhaust pipe instead of the a/c compressor or the fan. Having an experienced mechanic listen to it will help determine the source.
