Question: idle rpm fall frequently


Hi
I am very proud with your car web.I would like to consult you technically about a problem that frequently occurs with my car.
It starts normally .I usually let it 1-2 min.idling, however when I move the car and stop it at traffic light .the rpm falls to below 500rpm for some seconds then it returns to standard idle rpm.This repeats several times,AND NO ILLUMINATION OF CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT .The type of engine is 4G136G2 for mitsubishi lancer 1300 cc GLX.,MPI,MILAGE 47800KM,RECENTLY CHANGED SPARK PLUGS.Ididnt change fuel filter as it is integral part of fuel pump.This tendency didn't occur previously Does dirt falling on the throttle pos.switch and /or idle control motor maybe the reason?please inform with your answer.

The 03 Lancer only came with a 2.0L engine as far as I can tell. The 2.)L should have and EGR valve. (exhaust gas recirculation). It is possible the valve is not seating well due to carbon build up and causing the issue. Also the Idle control valve could be the issue.
