Question: Intake Manifold Replacement Trouble

I replaced the intake manifold gasket to clear code P0171 on my 2007 Toyota Corolla. Now, after the car warms up and drives for a about 10 minutes you can smell the fuel from the engine... The smell goes away after a few seconds, and all seems okay.

A friend told me I may have knocked one of the fuel injector's o-rings out of alignment when I did the repair -- I'm looking for other possible causes though. I'm not about to work on the fuel system. Any other suggestions?
