Question: Is it possible to change a HID plug over to a 9003 plug

I need to know if it's possible to change a HID plug over to a 9003 plug on a 2008 Toyota Prius?
The HID bulbs are $185.00 a piece. Where the 9003 bulbs are $25.00 a set. The autoparts book calls for a 9003 bulb for some Prius's including 2008.
