Question: is it true that after i replace my converter on my 2000 nissan that i will have to replace the engi

i am about to replace my catalytic converter but i am also being told that i might soon after that have to replace my engine is this true?

In general, I would say no.

But it depends on what caused the converter to fail. If it was oil or coolant contamination, then it is very possible your engine has mechanical deficiencies and needs work.

If you can tell me a bit more as to why why they say your engine will need replacement, I can give you a more informed answer.
