Question: is maintenance for a 2008 car expensive?

I'm looking to purchase a car

Maintenance, when done properly, can definitely be considered a significant expense--but no matter what you car you own, you're going to have that as an issue. To get an idea of what you'll need, check out the 'your service schedule' link on this site--maintenance procedures are listed by mileage, or call a shop and ask for an estimate of the next service interval (it will differ depending on your mileage).

Overall, the maintenance cost of buying an '08 are cheaper than paying full retail for a new car.
