Question: Is "synthetic" brake fluid the same as "hydraulic" brake fluid?

I noticed my light is coming on intermittently. I checked the level of the fluid and it is low. I bought SuperTech Brake Fluid
DOT 3. When I looked in the owners manual it says to add DOT 3 hydraulic brake fluid. I then noticed that the SUpertech brake fluid is "synthetic" but appears to be a universal type of fluid. Do you think this is okay to add to bring the level up?

It needs to say DOT 3 on the bottle. If it does not then don't use it.
