Question: Is the so-called 5000 mile inspection mandatory and do I have to pay for it.

I had oil and filter changed at 3000, do not need it now. Air filter has been replaced. Vehicle has 4652 miles on it. I used to be a mechanic, I take care of my cars.

Toyota does there oil changes every 5k miles. So if you did a service at 3k miles no you don't need the 5k service.
