Question: jerking while driving

Feels Like>> Vehicle "rides" uncomfortably>> Always>> Neither of these>> while driving, as speeding up from 20 mph and above the vehicle seems to be sluggish, and jerks while accelerating. mechanic says its fine. im not sure if it is the fuel tank misfiring or what. it doesnt seem normal. also it is going thru gas quite fast, about 150-200 miles per full tank. upon starting in the morning, while its semi-cold (az) it seems to jerk while its getting gas through to the engine. mechanic cant find the problem and neither can I. Please HELP! thanks soo much.

For all hard starting or engine performance issues, you should always start with the basics. Make sure the tune up items are done and check the charging and starting systems. The engine must have the basics done in order for it to be able to run correctly. Many things can cause this type of problem, and the simplest sometimes get overlooked.
