Question: Just got finished checking my 69 350 engine that is bored over 60 for any problems

I have readjusted the valves checked for any leaks and still when i put it in reverse or drive it dies what should i do

Getting a rebuilt engine running is the trickiest part of the rebuild. As tempting as it is to keep going over what you have already adjusted, it is best to start with a fresh look at the problem via a troubleshooting chart.

First check for vacuum leaks, including the vacuum modulator for the transmission, and here's a troubleshooting guide:
