Question: knocking sound

Heraing a knocking sound coming from the controls on my 2005 jeep loredo and my temperature gage keeps going up when ever I slow down the car.

You need to check your coolant level. Make sure the engine is cold when you check the level. The noise you here could be steam poping in the engine.
