Question: left front signal and right rear brake lamps are dim

left front and right rear has a dim bulb, i checked for corrosion in pigtails and replaced with new bulbs to no avail

Sounds like a bad ground connection. You can test by checking continuity between the chassis and the bulb socket (with bulb removed) using an ohmmeter. If it's not zero, hunt down the ground connection and clean it up or add an auxiliary ground connector to the socket.
